Continuous prayer - Part 1 Thoughts & Words

This is part 1 of a two part post on the subject of "Continuous prayer". You see when I had finished typing and realized how long the post was going to be I thought it might be easier to read in two chunks. Part 1 will be Thought and words, and part 2 Actions. So, that said, let’s jump right into part 1.

You know I've come to the conclusion that pray is not just a phone call we make to heaven only to leave our list of wants with God kind of like ordering a take-a-way meal. Pray is a continuous rolling conversation, everything we think, everything we say and everything we do is a pray and not just when we get down on our knees and start talking. In fact it's the process of creation, of manifesting the very deepest desires of our hearts, THOUGHT, WORD and ACTION. We can pray the most beautiful sounding pray but if our thoughts stink or our actions are sponsored by fear we cancel out the words of the pray, no matter how beautiful.

The motivation, the intent and the emotion behind our thought, words and actions, as I've just said all of the beautiful words in the world will come to zero if in your heart you are full of fear. On the other hand if your heart is full of love, or in other words faith, another word is trust. Trust (and don't doubt) that God/life/the universe will, and has already said yes to that prayer, in fact will always say yes. There is no reason for the divine to say no. If we are to experience yourself as created "in the image and likeness" of God then we must be allowed to create, express and experience yourself as the creator of that experience.

"Believe you HAVE received, and it will be yours" (Mark 11:23-25), believing that whatever your wanting is already so, not from a position of that thing being in the future but from the position of already having that thing/situation in your experience. In fact think of your dream not as a dream, but as, a memory of what is already so, a memory that is just waiting for you to catch up with it.

Now when it comes to our words, all our words must be filled with love/faith, all of them not just during a "formal" pray time. Remember pray is continuous, every word we speak is packed with creative power; everything we say has equal weight. Again we must keep in mind that behind our words there must be love, faith that what we are saying is already so present tense. Speak that you are not what you hope you might be some time in the future. Your words are not what was, not what will (or might) be, but your words are ALWAYS, always a statement of what is already so. This is so important because fear filled words work in exactly the same way, fear will attract the very thing you say that you do not want.

It seems that God/the universe doesn't hear "I don't want", all heaven ever hears is "I do want", "I am not" becomes "I am". I don't know about you, but that irritates the heck out of me, it makes me want to send an angry e-mail to "god@heaven.com", something like "What's the matter, aren't you listening". But, you see, it’s not a question of God not "listening", it’s about how the process of creation was meant to work. Maybe we should change our concept of what the God is. God is not a person, God is the process of creation itself, a process that would more accurately be called life and the process will work perfectly every time no matter how irritating we may find it.

Make a promise to yourself to only speak words filled with love, don't beat yourself up when you slip back into your old way of speaking it will take practice. Keep working at it and see how your life will change.

I think I'll leave it there for now, until part 2, God bless.

Big love filled hugs,

Jason.

  1. Great Job Jason!! Yes this is the answer!! You framed it very well & we all need to mindful of our thoughts because thoughts become things....whether we intend the action that happens each time...it will happen & we will always get back what we put out!!

    Thanks for sharing,
