Rene Descartes said "I think therefore I am". Maybe it's time to expand on that statement, maybe it's time to new larger understanding.

Maybe it's time to move on from: "I think therefore I am"

To:

"I experience therefore I am"

Then:

"I observe therefore I am"

Then ultimately to:

"I am therefore I am"

So, what do you think? Are we ready to move on from our identification with the mind? Is it time to identify with our consciousness, with our inner watcher, with the "I am"? With the spirit of oneness, with God?

What do you think?

The world is waiting for our decision. We live in a world that is changing, the direction is up to us.

The Butterfly Effect - By Andy Andrews

The Butterfly Effect: How Your Life Matters

What can I say? BRITIANT!!!

I'm sure you've heard of the butterfly effect. The idea that a small event at one place or time can lead to a larger event later down the road, the butterfly that flaps its wings in one part of the world can cause a hurricane in another.

This little book and it is a little book (you can read it in less than 30 minuets) applies this principle to our lives. To quote from the book:

“Science has shown the butterfly effect to engage with the first movement of any form of matter - including people”

In fact, I would suggest, that the “effect” is considerably more pronounced when applied to people. As human beings we have a level of consciousness, of awareness that allows us to deliberately choose a direction and therefore an outcome that eventually down the road will have a history making effect. I may take many individuals/generations each playing their part which, at the time, may seem insignificant but eventually leading to a large and more significant change.

This book uses the example of a farmer from Diamond, Missouri named Moses Carver and his wife Susan who saved the life of a baby boy. They gave the baby their name, raised and educated him as the own (you’ll have to read the book for the whole story).

The baby’s name was…

George Washington Carver who, at the age of 19 would take the six-year-old son of his diary sciences professor on “botanical expeditions” instilling in this small boy a love for plants

The name of this boy was…

Henry Wallace, Vice President of the United States under Franklin Roosevelt (1941 - 1945). Whilst in office, he created a station in Mexico to hybridized wheat for arid climates.

He hired a young man to run it named…

Norman Borlaug, who in the 1940s, hybridized high yield disease resistant corn and wheat for arid climates. Saving, over the years, maybe 2 billion lives.

So, who is responsible for saving the 2 billion+ lives? How far back could we go to find that person?

Now, think about your own life. Think about the future, how could the world be affected or changed just because you existed? Just by being here, breathing in and out, the world is being changed. Never thing of yourself as insignificant, never say “I don’t matter”. YOU DO MATTER!!! And that’s the point of this book, YOU DO MATTER!!! Something, I think we all need reminding of from time to time.
